The view outside the kitchen window

Here's one of our little friends. This was taken as we were moving in. The grass is tall, and we are too busy to mow. When the mower finally arrived it took 2 belts and 3 mowings to catch up. In this picture you can see the blue spruce in the background. We have 4 ever greens, and one oak. The tree Desi's swing hangs from is HUGE.

The nieghbor's horses.
The hill behind us.

Another pic of the hill behind us, and the ever green at the bottom of our hill. To the Mid-Westerners---this hill might look like a mountain, but it's really just a hill. :)

  1. You have a beautiful view! The horses are the clincher for me. In our area we have alot of hills, bluffs, and coulee's. Lyle says MN has mountains, but it's the bluffs and hills.

  2. I'm so excited (can you tell?) about having my own spot on this earth. Although, at times, I think home ownership is MORE than it's cracked up to be. As in, when something goes wrong, you get to fix it AND pay for it and figure out how to do both.

Dave has the garden area all fenced in, and he'll be making the gate on Sunday. Hopefully it will be nice and we'll hunt Easter Eggs as well.

  3. How beautiful. I love the mountains and trees of the Pacific Northwest. I am excited for us to be able to visit.
While in MN I was able to stop in and see Grandma. Her memory is starting to slip a bit, but other than that she was great.
